ITI has been actively involved in more than 92 European R&D projects and more than 81 National projects. ITI research team has an impressive publication record with more than 100 scientific publications and over 320 conference papers in the last 4 years. The first spin-off company of ITI named VRSense, was established in January 2005 in Thessaloniki, Greece, with its primary goal to commercially exploit and disseminate the results of the research conducted in ITI.
ITI is providing the following services and products: 3D Scanning and modeling of objects - 3D Digitization of outdoor sites, VRSENSE tool, a specialized tool for virtual world composition, internet and Web-based services, learning tools and educational software, multimodal search tools for multimedia databases using semantic analysis , e-Commerce services, intelligent software agents, e-Government services... etc.
