Powders and particulate solids are commonplace in the process industries but are not treated in depth in the undergraduate BCHE curriculum. The Graduate Certificate in Particle Technology is designed to fill that gap for the practicing engineer or for undergraduates anticipating industrial employment. This certificate is offered through the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and is administered through the Professional Engineering Outreach Program.
It is expected that 2 of the 3 certificate courses will be transferrable into the MEPT (Master of Engineering in Particle Technology) program should the student wish to continue on to the graduate degree.
