For the first time, the Ministerial High Level Conference on eHealth and the World Health IT Conference and Exhibition are being held in the same week in a joint initiative called "eHealth Week 2010", the most prestigious event in the European eHealth sector.
Ministerial High Level Conference on eHealth 2010 
The high-level eHealth conferences have been organised by the countries holding the temporary presidency of the E.U. since 2003.
With the motto: "eHealth for sustainable healthcare: global changes through local actions", this eighth edition of the ehealth ministerial conference acknowledges the urgent perspective of a rapidly ageing European society, the lack of prevention and prediction of illnesses, the growing demand for quality attention, the lack of electronic health and the interoperability of the systems.
World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT) 2010
In 2010, the "World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT)" will be held for the first time alongside the European Union eHealth Ministerial Conference. The combination of these two important events is a great opportunity for the delegates and exhibitors with regard to training, dissemination and generating contacts.
