>> To support the further development and consolidation of the European Research Area (ERA), one of the main challenges in science and technology is to ensure a high quantity and quality of human resources. In close collaboration with the European Commission (DG Research), the Belgian Presidency of the European Council organizes this conference on Mobility and Careers of Researchers.
>> The conference has multiple objectives:
- to report on the progress made with the implementation of the European Researchers Partnership, underlining the best practices and identifying possible common approaches
- to look closely at the shortcomings and challenges of the implementation of the partnership
- to evaluate the progress made with the "Scientific Visa" Directive and promote it among decision-makers
- to identify the areas of interest of crucial questions concerning the career and mobility of researchers.
