1st International Symposium on Transparent Conducting Oxides

23-25 October 2006, Heraklion, Crete, Greece

Abstract

Over the past a few years, there has been an explosive growth of interest in both fundamental research and industrial applications of Transparent Conductive Oxides (TCOs). This unique class of fascinating materials is entering a variety of cutting-edge applications, such as, solar cells, gas sensors, organic light-emitting diodes, liquid crystal and high definition displays, electrochromic and smart windows, as well as architectural coatings.
As evident from the tremendous worldwide research activities that range from fundamental physics to materials fabrication and TCO-based device development, the international TCO research community has decided to start an initiative by organizing the 1st International Symposium on Transparent Conducting Oxides.
