>> The main objective of the event is to underline the role of research in support to the conception, development, implementation and monitoring of policies at EU, national and regional level in areas such as climate change, energy, food, agriculture, GMO's, etc. All these areas are of vital importance for the quality of life and safety of citizens.
>> The event will present examples of the customer-driven scientific and technical support that the JRC provides to the European Union policies, as well as examples of the Slovenian research organisations supporting national policies. Recent achievements and progress in collaboration between the JRC and Slovenian partners will be also represented.
>> The goal will be to encourage dialogue, identify potential partnerships and pave the way for further scientific and technical collaboration. The possibilities for participation of Slovenian scientists in the JRC advanced training courses, joint research projects, as well as future job opportunities will also be presented.
