Development of Innovative Business Parks to  

 Foster Innovation & Entrepreneurship

   

FIDIBE is a transnational development project operating in the framework of the SEE programme (South East Europe Transnational Programme) in line with Priority Axis No 1 of SEE programme: Facilitation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  

Objectives   

General objectives of FIDIBE project are:

  • to increase the innovative potential and competitiveness of the SEE Area with the development and support of competitive and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the Area 
  • to facilitate innovation, promote entrepreneurship and the development of knowledge economy in the SEE Area and
  • to decrease the big disparity in economic development in the SEE area.
 

 

 FIDIBE aims at developing standards, providing mechanisms of

cooperation and exchange of experience, as well as at demonstrating

best practice in the area of Business Park development

 

 

 

Main outputs and results:

  • Manual of Business Innovation Park, which can be used as a guide to establish new and further develop existing parks
  • Regional analyses and feasibility studies of the foundation of new parks or of the enhancement of old parks coupled with the in-depth analysis of needs of regional SMEs
  • Forums for exchange of best practice, knowledge and experience in the framework of training, study tour, international seminar and final conference.

The Partnership wishes to ensure the sustainability and capitalization during the whole lifecycle of the project. NUTS II or NUTS I level authorities will be involved to integrate the results of the project into their policies to secure sustainability and transferability of the results. Furthermore FIDIBE partners aim to continue its transnational cooperation after the closure of the project. The Partnership will form the Association of the SEE Innovative Business Parks which will be the transnational forum of exchange of best practice and development of common methodology after the closure of the project. The Association will be an open initiative so other organizations may join.
