@ From 1 January to 30 June 2012, Denmark will hold the six-month rotating presidency of the European Union.
@ It is the seventh time Denmark holds the EU Presidency since joining the European Community in 1973. The Danish will act in close coordination with the other two EU presidency holders Poland (July-December 2011) and Cyprus (July-December 2012).
