Award for the spin-off of CERTH farmB within the framework of the pilot program for startups in the fields of agriculture.

For their business proposal presentation on the final day of pilot program "Accelerator program for start-up enterprises in the agriculture between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe" organized in Sofia, Bulgaria 🇧🇬 by the ”Association  for   the   Promotion   of Agricultural   Cooperation   Between   China and   the   Central   and   Eastern   European countries”   (APACCCEEC), received farmB, spin-off of CERTH an award.

farmB's business proposal was about the strategic plan for developing a user base of the farmB’s farm information management and data analysis systems, adapted to the local requirements, practices and conditions as well as for developing a network of partners in the Chinese and Center and Eastern European market, following the already successful penetration in the Southern European market, while simultaneously establishing and operating dynamic prototype application laboratories.

The aim of the program was to support innovative products and services, attract new entrepreneurs, exchange knowledge and enhance competitiveness among APACCCEEC member countries in the field of agriculture. The areas of interest covered a wide range of the agricultural sector, such as innovative solutions in agriculture, implementation of GIS systems, sustainable agriculture and organic products, circular economy.

Forty-five (45) startups from fifteen (15) different countries participated in the program and during the week, the participants had the opportunity to meet, work and collaborate with mentors and lecturers from the academic and business circles from the central and Eastern Europe and China.
