The European Commission, in cooperation with the Greek EU Presidency, is hosting the European Road Safety Day in Athens on 9 May 2014.
This one-day conference, centred around the headline theme "Safe and smart infrastructure", will bring together road safety experts, stakeholders and decision-makers and give them the opportunity to share their knowledge and discuss ways to continue improving European road safety.
The conference programme includes two round table discussions on infrastructure challenges and on technological solutions respectively. There will also be the opportunity to visit information stands where leading European road safety organisations will present their work.
Prof. G. Giannopoulos, Director of HIT, participates as invited speaker at this one-day conference.
The Hellenic Institute of Transport will hold a stand with brochures and information material on its activities at the patio of Zappeion Megaron, while the research vehicle and motorcycle with ADAS and other related equipment will be exhibited outside the Megaron.
