Employment Week 2009: 16th Annual Conference & Exhibition [24-25 Jun 2009]

>> Economic downturns are worrying times for everyone, particularly when unemployment is on the rise. It will take some time before markets begin to operate within normal conditions again. But we might like to remind ourselves that economic decline is part of a cycle, better times will return, and businesses and governments need to ensure that Europe is also prepared for the economic upturn.

>> The Employment Week 2009 programme will look at today’s challenges and opportunities:

First, looking at Europe’s human capital, the conference’s agenda will focus on skills development and evaluate how the European workforce is coping with change.
Secondly, the programme will also present how the European labour market, more generally speaking, is responding to the current economic situation with respect to competitiveness, innovation and restructuring.
