In 2005 the CERTH Institutes were evaluated by a Committee of independent, foreign experts on behalf of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT). Overall the evaluation was particularly positive for all CERTH Institutes which ranked within the top-10 out of the total number of 52 GSRT supervised Institutes in the country. One of the Institutes, CPERI ranked at the 1st position and obtained the top Research Excellence award grant. The overall ratings for CERTH’s Institutes in the 2005 evaluation are given in Table 1:
