Versailles, 7 February 2017 – Over 100 stakeholders met in Versailles on the public kick off day of the new European project, AUTOPILOT on 6 February 2017. The audience of the public event represented a variety of Mobility Actors, including public authorities, industry, service providers, users and research institutes.

The COMPOSITION project aims to develop a digital ecosystem in order to help factories optimise internal production processes and external collaboration with suppliers by putting existing data, knowledge and tools into place. COMPOSITION will develop an Integrated Information Management System which connects and integrates the heterogeneous data across the value chain, providing analysis, forecasting and decision support.

Dr. Konstantinos Atsonios, research associate at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas/Chemical Process & Energy Resources Institute (CERTH/CPERI), awarded the Dimitris Chorafas Prize 2016, for his PhD Thesis that he did at the National Technical University of Athens in collaboration with CERTH/CPERI. The Dimitris Chorafas’ Foundation awards scientific prizes for outstanding work in selected fields in the engineering and the natural sciences and medicine. It rewards research characterized by its high potential for practical application and by the special significance attached to its aftermath. Empowering asthma patients through novel methods is key to helping them manage their own health. MyAirCoach is a three-year research project funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON2020 programme, which started in January 2015 to support asthma patients.

Known as either “Industrial Revolution 4.0” or as “Industrial Renaissance”, the need for visionary industrial approaches is widely recognised in the European Union. SatisFactory, a three-year research project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon2020 programme, started in January 2015 to tackle this problem and offer a feasible and attractive solution for the shopfloor of smart factories.

Supporting elderly people with Mild Cognitive Impairment is key to helping them lead independent lives for longer. This is a labour-intensive process. RAMCIP (Robotic Assistant for MCI Patients at home) is a three-year research project funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON2020 programme, which starts in January 2015 to tackle this problem.
