EuropaCat XI - "20 years of European Catalysis... and beyond"

>> Today, catalysis is at the heart of major societal and industrial challenges concerning energy, environment, health and sustainable development. To meet these challenges, an interdisciplinary approach from molecules to materials and processes is required, joining efforts from heterogeneous, homogeneous and enzymatic catalysis.

>> The ambition of EuropaCatXI is to cover the most advanced research topics in these fields and to pave the way for future research challenges. As an example, a focus will concern the approaches involving the progressive replacement of fossil by renewable resources and the noble metals by new catalytic materials. Another general focus will deal with the transfer of concepts and cross-fertilisation between heterogeneous, homogeneous and enzymatic approaches.
